• Purpose of the code :

  Vakdyn is a program to calculate the time-dependent behavior of pressure profiles in conduction limited vacuum systems. It can be understood as a time dependent version of the vaktrak code which was written to calculate equilibrium pressure profiles. The user must specify the vacuum lattice, i.e. the location of pumps, the conduction of the pipes, and the sources of outgassing, then vakdyn produces an animated gif (a movie you can watch in your web browser) and a data file with a sequence of the pressure profiles as a function of time.
